SOSi brings aboard Booz, BAE vet Avalos as COO

SOS International has appointed former Booz Allen Hamilton and BAE Systems Inc. executive John Avalos as chief operating officer.

The nearly two-decade industry veteran joins Reston, Va.-based SOSi after four years as vice president of business development at Booz Allen.

Prior to Booz Allen, he spent 10 years at BAE's U.S. subsidiary and his career culminated in a role as vice president in the intelligence and security sector.

Avalos is also a former Army officer that served in intelligence operations support functions in the U.S. and overseas locations.

SOSi received approximately $173.6 million in prime contracting obligations in the 2016 federal fiscal year, according to Deltek.
