SAIC receives extension on Marine Corps IT contract

Science Applications International Corp. has received a one-year, $30 million extension on its contract to support software and IT systems for the Marine Corps.

This move raises the contract's ceiling amount to $79 million and covers a new ordering period of Aug. 15, 2017 to Aug. 14, 2018. SAIC initially won the contract in 2014.

The company will conduct post-deployment software support, software updates and engineering change proposals for IT systems under the management of Marine Corps Systems Command.

Contract work will take place in Quantico, Va.
