Engility taps three-decade Raytheon vet for SVP post

Scott Whatmough to lead Engility's defense group amid its strategy shift

Engility Corp. has hired three-decade Raytheon veteran Scott Whatmough to lead the government services contractor’s defense group as a senior vice president.

He joins Engility in the midst of its pivot from “low-price, technically acceptable” programs to a provider of “best value” services for agencies and lead the defense group’s pursuits in markets such as cybersecurity and enterprise modernization, CEO Lynn Dugle said. She is a former Raytheon executive as well.

Whatmough more recently led a $900 million military electronics systems business at Raytheon and also held roles at Sequoia Systems and the former RCA Government Systems business.
