Engility nabs $16M task order to support Navy tactical afloat network

Engility has won a $16 million task order to provide technology support to the U.S. Navy’s tactical afloat network.

Formerly known as the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise (CANES), the network will allow the Navy to deploy current technology and operating systems and upgrade to the latest technology and equipment advances when they become available, Engility said in a release.

Under the contract, Engility will provide software and networking services for CANES programs related to data transport, voice and video services, systems management and cybersecurity system performance.
