CACI will help Veterans manage IT resources

CACI International Inc. will help improve budgetary and financial processes associated with information technology management at the Veterans Affairs Department’s under a new contract.

CACI International Inc. will help improve budgetary and financial processes associated with information technology management at the Veterans Affairs Department’s under an $11 million contract.

Under the agreement, CACI will assist the department with budgetary initiatives regarding IT resources used for health and benefits administration, company officials said today. The goal is to ensure compliance with federal mandates associated with IT resource management.

Specifically, CACI will assist the VA with the various operational and technical requirements associated with systematic planning, budgeting and execution of IT investments, the officials said. The company will apply its capabilities in program management, systems engineering and technical assistance to meet the contract requirements.

The contract was awarded through the General Services Administration’s Applications and Support for Widely Diverse Enduser Requirements program. The agreement has a one-year base period and three option years.

CACI, of Arlington, ranks No. 17 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
