McCain vs. Obama: Views on contracting

GOP presidential nominee John McCain is a fed basher, while Democrat Barrack Obama favors federal workers over outsourcing, according to the Washington Post's Federal Diary column.

Over the course of three columns this week, the Federal Diary explored the federal workforce views of McCain and Obama. The format included e-mail question-and-answer sessions and then analysis in today's column.

One question both seemed to avoid was transition planning, though both said they thought the process for getting the 4,000 political appointees into place needed to be streamlined.
