Bids and proposals

ERP system

The city of Tampa, Fla.,
wants a contractor to
implement an
enterprise resource planning
solution. A request for proposals
is expected late this
year. The citywide ERP system
would replace existing
unconnected financial
management and human
resources systems.

Networking equipment
The Texas Information Resources
Department wants to prequalify additional
vendors to provide
networking equipment to
state agencies, local governments
and nonprofit organizations. An RFP
is expected in March.

Health care software

The California Health Care Services
Department wants to automate processes for
the state's Medicaid administrative activities.
An RFP is expected in
mid-2008.

The department wants
to automate and streamline
the administrative activities for the program
known as Medi-Cal to improve customer
service, adhere to federal mandates, increase
program participation, and ensure that counties
and schools receive the federal funds to
which they are entitled.

The department believes that automating
the core components of the program and
developing a single database for storage and
retrieval of information will eliminate duplicate
data entry.

These opportunities are provided by Input Inc.,
a market research firm based in Reston, Va.
