ArcSight Inc. has an enterprise solution to help combat internal security threats, called the Insider Threat Package. It transforms ArcSight enterprise security management software into an early warning system to monitor and respond to suspicious and malicious activity by authorized people.Insider Threat detects suspicious activity such as printing large numbers of files outside of business hours, e-mailing large attachments to personal e-mail accounts, employee communication with competitors and clearing system audit logs. The package also includes information-leak and IT sabotage-specific detection capabilities such as real-time rules designed to identify inappropriate access, transmission of sensitive data, and internal use or even the presence of hacking tools.Emerson Network Power Inc. introduced its Liebert XDH horizontal row cooler for high-heat-density equipment, an extension of the Liebert XD line of solutions. The cooler is designed for data center applications where there is limited overhead space. Placing the components of the system close to the sources of heat increases the equipment's efficiency.Liebert XDH can cool more than 30 kilowatts per rack, and has flexible piping with quick-connect fittings for expansion and repositioning without interruption.Interactive Supercomputing Inc. released Star-P technical software, which now runs on high-performance computers based on new dual-core Intel Xeon 5100 processors.Star-P support for Xeon 5100 servers offers users who previously didn't have the budgets or programming knowledge an affordable, parallel computing option for solving their growing scientific and engineering problems.Star-P also runs on servers based on the dual-core Opteron and Montecito Itanium processors.
