BridgeHead Software Inc.'s HT FileStore is a policy-based file archiving system for multiplatform computing environments. It stores data from systems across the enterprise and indexes the text content as well as metadata of archived files for enhanced searchability.
Using a Web browser interface, HT FileStore's search functionality lets administrators and auditors use any combination of word and phrase content and file attribute filters to discover, retrieve and report across an organization's archived data repositories.
While the new search feature enhances authorized transparent access to archived data, the integrity and privacy of information is not compromised, as HT FileStore maintains user access privileges to files throughout the archive and data lifecycle management process.Protect it in a Flash
Addonics Technologies Inc. has a hardware encryption reader-writer called Cipher UDD for securing data on Flash media.
Cipher UDD provides data security for Advanced Technology Attachment Flash and PCMCIA hard drives and a variety of Flash media. The Cipher UDD encrypts and decrypts on the fly via a hardware key. No special software or password is needed.
Once encrypted, the Flash media appears as a blank media, thus preventing unauthorized access to any confidential or sensitive data.
