AF network needs support

The Air Force wants a contractor to provide network and systems administration for its Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System at Nellis and Creech Air Force bases in Nevada. The network features secure, multimedia intelligence communications worldwide for voice, text, graphics, data and video teleconferencing.

The contractor would furnish network and systems administration services for PCs and servers on two classified LANs and one unclassified LAN.

The contractor must install, upgrade and configure Cisco Systems Inc. switches and Unix systems hardware and software used for secure communication links that support network connectivity, file, Web and e-mail access.

DHS recruits personnel system

The Homeland Security Department is looking for an enterprisewide electronic recruitment and hiring solution to consolidate and modernize the agency's hiring systems. The solution must integrate with other DHS and non-DHS services. The IRS is managing the contract for DHS.

The solution must automate processes and business requirements for workforce planning, requisitioning, candidate acquisition, applicant tracking and reporting and analytics.

It also must create a single portal for all job applicants, reduce or eliminate paper-based systems and cut hiring and recruitment costs.

FHA maps for road system

The Federal Highway Administration needs a contractor to develop a software application for its federal lands highway division, which provides planning, design, construction and engineering services for more than 90,000 miles of roads.

The Engineers Estimating, Bidding, Award and Constructing System Web-based application will replace the current system. It must be compatible with future operating systems and database software modifications for the life of the contract.
