Eyak ousts key executive, launches makeover

Alaska Native-owned corporation Eyak Technology LLC has fired a top executive as the first step of its strategic restructuring plan.

The Reston, Va., federal contractor replaced Chief Operating Officer James Dunn with Quang Le, who has been named general manager and chief financial officer and will have full operational authority over the company.

The new organizational structure will improve Eyak Technology's ability to move into new areas of business and better align its management resources, the company said in a statement.

Eyak Technologies, also known as EyakTek, is a privately owned company that specializes in communications and IT solutions, healthcare services and architecture and engineering services.

The company's clients include the Defense Department and civilian agencies, and sate and local government agencies. The company ranks
No. 11 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 25 list of 8(a) contractors.
