Satellite data system needed

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is looking for sources to design, manufacture and market systems to receive Emergency Managers Weather Information satellite broadcast information.

The current dissemination system offers data on weather watches, warnings, forecasts, hydrometeorological products, graphics and satellite imagery. It must be replaced when new satellites are put into service by 2011. A new, digital, direct broadcast service will replace the current one.
