Locution Systems Inc. has introduced CADVoice ZoneTracker, a device that lets firefighters and paramedics use a wireless touchpad to access a fire station's alert system and update their location, said officials from the Golden, Colo., company.ZoneTracker can be carried around the station or docked to a wall mount. The product is designed for use with Locution's dispatching and fire station alerting system, CADVoice Fire.ZoneTracker offers a tech-friendly way for firefighters and paramedics to update their location within a fire station, so dispatches can reach them more quickly. For example, the alerting system might automatically route a dispatch for a unit to the unit's bunkroom. However, if it's lunchtime and that unit is in the kitchen, unit members can update the system with that information.Trilibis Mobile, a mobile software provider, now supports Windows Mobile with its SmartPath Mobile Publishing Solution, said officials from the San Francisco company.The cross-platform, wireless-application development solution is for mobile phones, personal digital assistants and other wireless devices. SmartPath lets developers create, launch and manage applications on Windows Mobile devices with point-and-click, drag-and-drop tools. Connectivity to back-end systems is via a Java interface.Firstlogic Inc. now has a Web services architected address validation adapter for the Oracle E-Business suite, said officials from the La Crosse, Wis., company.The IQ8 address validation adapter can help organizations ensure accurate address information in Oracle applications.The adapter validates and cleanses U.S. and international address information stored in the common data model beneath the e-business suite.
