CSC wins Education work

Computer Sciences Corp. won a contract with the Education Department to provide information technology infrastructure services, said officials from the El Segundo, Calif., company.

The contract has one base year, two one-year options and seven one-year performance-based award terms, and could be worth as much as $176 million if all options are exercised, said CSC officials.

CSC will provide infrastructure management services, including network, project and security support to the department's offices in Washington and regional offices around the United States.

Teaming with CSC is Accelerated Solutions Inc. of Atlanta, which is providing project management support; and Compucom Systems Inc. of Dallas, which is providing desktop support.

CSC is No. 4 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which ranks the largest government IT contractors.
