Tachyon Networks Inc., a Vienna, Va., provider of satellite broadband solutions, has introduced an expanded voice over IP service to its enterprise and government customers, company officials said.
The new service provides high voice-quality by prioritizing voice packets over data during transmissions, officials said. This allows for minimal packet loss and ensures completion of the transmission.
Tachyon's service is compatible with major VoIP providers and allows for customized configuration based on multiple international standards.
The company's customers include the Army, Navy and the Defense Department.
