New system boosts mobile security

Titan Corp. recently launched a mobile enterprise security system that allows secure storage, transmission and access of information in a mobile environment, officials from the San Diego company said.

ItinerX was developed by Titan's Information Security Systems Division. With ItinerX, sensitive information is encrypted and stored on a USB memory device and synchronized securely to an enterprise server via a corporate or government network, as well as the Web.

The combination of security features includes multiple access control, authentication, public-key infrastructure certificates, digital signatures and virus and spyware scanning.
