DISA looks for broadband

The Defense Information Systems Agency is looking for a contractor to design and install a dense-wave-division, multiplexed, optical transport network that will allow delivery of IT services over a broadband gigabit optical network.

The vendor must install and test the network in Germany and possibly other sites. The network must be interoperable with other standards-based, multivendor equipment and with DISA's Global Information Grid Bandwidth Expansion network.

The contract, which will be issued as a single award, will be for two years with three one-year options. Responses are due by April 1. Contact Terry Green at terry.green@disa.mil.
