KVM aids network management

A provider of keyboard/video/mouse and remote connectivity solutions to manage servers and other network devices has released an enterprise-class combo KVM solution that includes IP access, officials at ATEN Technology Inc. said.

The IP solution, KN9116 16-Port KVM on the Net, allows secure access to as many as 128 servers through cascading. Its built-in LAN port lets network administrators access computers from a station connected to the network (LAN, WAN or Internet).

Using the product's multisession functionality, IT administrators can simultaneously monitor up to 16 desktops as a pane or miniwindow, and users can view all server activity.
