Summit wins R&D work

Summit Research Corp. won a $3.2 million contract from the Army Space and Missile Defense Command for advanced weapons, sensors and airborne sensor technologies research and development.

Summit Research Corp. won a $3.2 million contract from the Army Space and Missile Defense Command for advanced weapons, sensors and airborne sensor technologies research and development, the company said today.

Summit Research is one of the operating divisions of Digital Fusion Inc., an information technology and engineering services company in Huntsville, Ala. The contract's value is $24.4 million if all options are exercised.

Under the contract, Summit Research will provide a highly integrated capability for the design, analysis and testing of sensors and airborne sensor and weapons platforms.

Headquartered in Arlington, Va., the Space and Missile Defense Command is responsible for missile defense to protect the country and its deployed forces.
