SRA International Inc. of Fairfax, Va., announced two contract wins today, one to help the Drug Enforcement Administration with its IT infrastructure and the second to support the Defense Department's Logistics Automation Identification Technology Office.
Under the five-year, $46.8 million DEA contract, SRA will provide engineering services to help DEA sustain and modernize its IT infrastructure. The work is being done under the Firebird Infrastructure Technology Services contract. The project aims to provide a standard IT automation platform and infrastructure.
SRA's services will include program management, systems engineering and integration, and analysis and implementation of emerging technologies. Its team members include Sabre Systems Inc. of Warminster, Pa.; Subsystem Technologies Inc. of Arlington, Va.; and McDonald Bradley Inc. of Herndon, Va.
SRA also won a five-year, $19.2 million task order from DOD to provide program support for its Logistics Automation Identification Technology Office.
The company has worked for the office since 1998 to integrate automatic identification technology into the military logistics processes. Bar coding, radio frequency identification tags, smart cards, contact memory buttons and satellite tracking capability devices are some of the automatic identification technologies SRA is using in the project.
SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal agencies and is No. 31 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors.
