NASCIO re-elects Wethington president

Missouri Chief Information Officer Gerry Wethington was re-elected president of the National Association of State CIOs.

Missouri Chief Information Officer Gerry Wethington was re-elected president of the National Association of State CIOs.Tom Jarrett, Delaware's CIO, also was re-elected vice president, while Brian Wolf, Montana's CIO, was elected secretary and treasurer of the association. Connecticut CIO Rock Regan will continue to serve as past president.New directors are Terry Savage of Nevada, Teresa Takai of Michigan, Paul Wharton of Alabama and Val Oveson of Utah. Returning directors are Jim Dillon of New York, Stuart McKee of Washington and Carolyn Walton of Arkansas. All the directors are CIOs of their respective states.Wethington will name a new director to fill Wolf's previous position, the association said. The president appoints the eight directors.In a separate vote, NASCIO's Corporate Leadership Council elected P.K. Agarwal, vice president of state and local solutions for Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, as its chairman, and Holli Ploog, vice president and general manager principal for Global Public Sector with Unisys Corp., Blue Bell, Pa., as its vice chairwoman.
