DoD, FedBizOpps sites to merge

The Defense Department's Business Opportunities Web site will shut down by the end of fiscal 2004 and its functions will be transferred to the Federal Business Opportunities site, www.fedbizopps.gov.

DODBusOpps, created in 1999, was the first government Web site to offer vendors a single Web location for all military service solicitations. Merging the site with FedBizOpps will make it easier for vendors to find federal contracting opportunities in one location, said program manager Richard Clark.
