ACS buys CyberRep for business process outsourcing

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has acquired CyberRep Inc., the company announced Jan. 17. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CyberRep of McLean, Va., provides customer care and CRM services for the telecommunications, wireless communications, technology and consumer product industries. The company has more than 2,000 employees and reported revenue of more than $60 million for fiscal 2002.

In 2002, the company handled more than 20 million transactions, including customer care and technical support for inbound calls, e-mail and Web communications.

The acquisition will enhance ACS' business process outsourcing solutions by adding customer care center capabilities, strong management and intelligent application of leading technologies, said Lynn Blodgett, ACS' group president of business process outsourcing solutions.

ACS of Dallas provides information technology and business processing outsourcing for government and commercial clients. The company has more than 40,000 employees and annual revenue of $3 billion.
