CAES hires new space systems leader
Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions hires a long-time veteran of Honeywell International as head of the space systems business.
Cobham Advanced Electronic Solutions has hired nearly three-decade Honeywell International veteran Mike Elias as senior vice president and general manager of space systems.
Arlington, Virginia-headquartered CAES said Wednesday that Elias will oversee a portfolio of products such as radiation-hardened microelectronics, applications-specific integrated circuits, advanced packaging solutions, and motion control and positioning technologies.
Most recently at Honeywell, Elias was vice president and general manager for the space business unit that focused on hardware and software offerings.
Formerly part of U.K.-based Cobham PLC, CAES became a standalone company after the former’s acquisition by private equity firm Advent International Corp. in January 2020.
CAES is led by its own board of directors and management team that includes CEO Mike Kahn, who took the helm in September 2020 after a long career at Northrop Grumman.
