Avantus Federal adds former ECS M&A head

Avantus Federal has hired former ECS executive Dave West as senior vice president of corporate development and strategy.

West will lead Avantus’ mergers-and-acquisitions function along with the government technology consulting firm’s partnerships and strategic initiatives, according to a release Monday.

He most recently was vice president of corporate development at ECS -- the government technology solutions segment of ASGN -- and oversaw four completed acquisitions while supporting the growth of both the ECS business and parent company.

His role supporting the broader ASGN corporation involved strategic planning, investment and pandemic response.

West is also a former executive of the government market consultancy Wolf Den Associates and foreign policy adviser in the Homeland Security Department’s startup era.
