SAIC adds new space business leader

Science Applications International Corp. has hired David Ray to lead its space business unit. Ray will be a senior vice president and will report to Michael LaRouche, president of SAIC’s national security and space sector.

Ray will manage a unit that was recently created to combine SAIC's civilian, defense and intelligence space operations in a single organization.

Prior to coming to SAIC, Ray held leadership positions at the National Reconnaissance Office, NASA and U.S. Space Force. Most recently, he was president of government and defense for FLIR Systems. He also worked at Raytheon and Booz Allen Hamilton.

“Space is a key part of SAIC’s portfolio. The government market continues to demand a more interconnected offering. As we expand, David’s extensive market experience is just what we need to deliver an integrated approach for our customers,” LaRouche said.

Ray holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the Air Force Academy and a master’s of science in systems management and strategy from Central Michigan University.
