Oracle taps new public sector head
Oracle has named the executive that will lead North America public sector sales, filling the spot left vacant when Mark Johnson died in February.
Oracle has named Pat Mungovan to lead public sector sales for North America as a senior vice president.
The promotion was announced on the blog of Mark Hura, senior vice president of North American technology for Oracle.
Most recently, Mungovan led Oracle’s North American cloud strategy and business development group. His team “identified, developed and excecuted a modern portfolio of integrated programs spanning Oracle’s entire tech cloud business,” Hura wrote on his blog.
Mungovan also has led Oracle’s higher education group. He succeeds Mark Johnson, who died in February.
