DynCorp, ManTech fight against CACI's $723.9M Army intell win

DynCorp International and ManTech International are continuing their battle to wrestle a $723.9 million task order award from CACI International.

CACI won the contract to support the Army’s Intelligence and Security Command known as INSCOM. The award came under the Global Intelligence Support Services contract awarded three years ago.

The winner will support tactical, operational and strategic intelligence units. This includes supporting ground and aerial intelligence equipment and operations facilities and infrastructure. That support is needed globally, wherever INSCOM needs it.

CACI won the contract in May, then DynCorp and ManTech filed their protests later that month. They filed supplemental protests earlier this week.

Both companies are arguing that if the evaluation had been done properly, then they would have won instead of CACI.

Supplemental filings generally come after the government -- the Army in this case -- has filed its response to the protest. In essence, DynCorp and ManTech are responding to the Army's response.

A final decision from the Government Accountability Office is expected Sept. 5.
