Navy picks MD firm for battlespace simulation work

American Electronic Warfare Associates has won a $99.7 million contract to help the Navy with battlespace modeling and simulation.
American Electronic Warfare Associates has won a $99.7 million contract to help the Navy with battlespace modeling and simulation.
The California, Maryland, company will provide engineering and technical support for the development and maintenance of battlespace simulation tools. They’ll also work on the application of battlespace simulation tools to specific customer requirements.
The company will develop warfare scenarios, development and integration of battlespace entity models and behaviors. Other work will cover battlespace distributed simulation, verification, validation and accreditation, and operation and maintenance customer support for battlespace products.
Work will take place at Patuxent River, Maryland, and the contract runs through April 2024.
While the contract was open to competition, American Electronic Warfare Associates was the only bidder.
