Palantir to build platform for NIH research
Palantir Technologies wins a three-year, $7 million contract to build a collaborative scientific platform for NIH.
Palantir Technologies Inc. has won a three-year, $7 million contract to build a collaborative scientific platform for the National Institutes of Health.
NIH announced the award for the indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract Sept. 6.
Palantir Technologies will use the PaaS to integrate, manage, secure and analyze data from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).
The center’s aim is to get more treatments to more patients faster.
To do that, officials say how they handle data is critical as they collaborate with NIH institutes and centers and other partners, such as research hospitals, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders.
