Salient CRGT wins a $47 million contract with HUD to modernize its home underwriting program.
Salient CRGT has won a $47 million contract with the Housing and Urban Development Department to support and modernize its home underwriting programs.
The company is the prime contractor for the Computerize Home Underwriting Management System that provides insurance underwriting for all single family HUD-insured loans. The program allows lenders to move their risk to the federal government.
HUD awarded the contract as a task order under the Alliant vehicle, Salient CRGT said.
The company will support HUD’s efforts to transform how data is collected from industry by moving to the collection of electronic documents using industry standards and protocols. HUD will also move away from aging mainframe technology.
Salient CRGT will work to modernize, operate and maintain the applications.
