Langstaff named to interim role at Aspen Institute

Well-known government contracting executive David Langstaff is stepping into new but temporary role at the Aspen Institute.

Langstaff, who was been CEO CEO of TASC and Veridian, has long been associated with the Aspen Executive Seminar program as a moderator. He’s now taking on the role of interim executive vice president for leadership and seminars.

He will fill in for Peter Reilig, who is leaving after building the program over the last 14 years.

For more than 10 years, Langstaff has moderated the Aspen Executive Seminar and other leadership seminars. He also has been involved with the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a worldwide community of entrepreneurial leaders from business, government, and the nonprofit sector. He currently serves as chairman of the advisory board of the Aspen Institute Business and Society Program

The search for a permanent successor to Reiling will take place over the next few months.

The Aspen Institute is an educational and policy studies organization based in Washington, D.C. Its mission is to foster leadership based on enduring values and to provide a nonpartisan venue for dealing with critical issues.
