CSRA expands relationship with Google

CSRA has signed a deal with Google that will help bring more of the search giant's cloud offerings to federal customers.
CSRA has signed a deal expanding its work with Google to bring more of the search engine giant's cloud services to its federal customer.
With the announcement of the relationship, CSRA also said it signed a $8.5 million deal with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences to provide both Google cloud and Amazon Web Services offerings to the agency.
USU is a federal university under the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs. The agency trains health professionals, scientists and leaders for for service in the uniformed services.
With the expanded Google relationship, CSRA now has strategic partnerships with Google, AWS and Microsoft Azure.
“The Google Cloud platform and G suite applications offer compelling, next-generation and [artificial intelligence]-based solutions for federal customers,” Larry Prior said in CSRA's third quarter earnings call Wednesday. “The genesis of the partnership is our cancer genomics cloud for the National Cancer Institute that leverages Google's high-performance computing services.”
The USU BPA calls on CSRA to provide G Suite, Google Cloud Platform and AWS cloud services. The goal is to improve the flow of university business, education, and research by expanding the use of cloud services.
