Army CIO looks for support for planning, IT governance
The Army wants a company to provide it with CIO function support, such as personnel, equipment, strategies, and facilities.

The Army expects the contract to be five years, and, based on responses to the sources sought notice, the department may set it aside for small businesses.
The contract’s work includes:
- Technical expertise to review, develop and implement IT policies and IT strategic planning.
- IT governance, capital planning and investment management, enterprise architecture support and maintenance of the IT governance process.
- IT portfolio management by developing and implementing strategies to manage the IT portfolio to include the warfighting mission area.
Work will take place in the Washington, D.C., area.
The CIO acts as the staff principal focal point for IT matters with CIO/G-6 and other external organizations.
The Army released the notice May 19. Responses are due by June 5.
