Contract award activity picked up a bit during the last month of 2016. Who won the biggest contracts of December?

Contract award activity picked up a bit during the last month of the calendar year with Washington Technology reporting on 36 awards.

December 2016’s 36 awards is however less than December 2015’s 45 awards.

With December closing out 2016, Washington Technology has covered a total of 563 awards this year, compared to a total of 589 awards last year.

To make the list in December, you had to have a contract with a value greater than $55.6 million. December’s contract threshold is lower than last month’s $79 million threshold.

10. Joint Venture wins $55.6M contract for logistics, technical support

Total Logistics Small Business Joint Venture has won a small business set-aside contract to provide logistics and technical support services to the Navy and Marine Corps.

9. Leidos wins $58M modernization contract

Leidos won a $58 million contract to provide a modernized Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems solution to support the Army’s C3-tactical mission requirements.

8. Boeing wins $82M contract for detection systems

Boeing has won an $82 million contract to provide 12 infrared search and track systems to the Navy.

7. LTM Inc. wins $86.8M contract for logistics, technical support

LTM has won a small business set-aside contract to provide logistics and technical support services to the Navy and Marine Corps.

6. CACI to provide global logistics support services under $140M contract

CACI International has won a $140 million contract to provide global logistics support services to the United States Fleet Forces Command Naval Forces Logistics Support/Training Services program.

5. Adobe wins $145M SaaS license with DOD

Adobe and its partners, CDW-G and Carahsoft, have won a $145 million enterprise licensing agreement for a slew of Adobe products such as Adobe Document Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Experience Manager Forms. All will be delivered as software-as-a-service.

4. Trace Systems wins $219M contract to set up commercial internet cafes

Trace Systems Inc. has won a $219 million contract to set up a recreational internet café for the Defense Information Systems Agency.

3. CSRA prevails in fight for $744M Army contract

The Government Accountability Office has weighed in, and it looks like ManTech International has lost a $744 million contract to CSRA to continue supporting the Army’s Communications and Electronics Command.

2. Air Force awards $800M NetCents 2 modification to small businesses

The Air Force awarded an $800 million modification to 12 small businesses on the NetCents 2 vehicle that increases the contract's ceiling value.

1. Microsoft to provide software developers, product teams to DISA under $927M contract

Microsoft has won a $927 million contract to provide the Defense Information Systems Agency with Microsoft Enterprise Technical Support Services.
