Syncom Space Services taps NASA vet to be president

In his new role, Parsons will lead the company’s operations at NASA’s Stennis Space Center in Hancock County, Miss., and the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, La.

Parsons began his career at NASA as an aerospace engineer at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Since then, he held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including Johnson Space Center deputy director, director of Stennis Space Center, and Kennedy Space Center director, the company said in a release.

Parsons also has industry experience, serving as vice president of Strategic Space Initiatives at Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems and Global Solutions business, which it sold to Leidos in 2016.

He joins the company from RD AMROSS LLC, where he served as president and chief executive officer.
