Smartronix has won a $26.7 million contract to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Special Communications Mission Solutions Division.
Smartronix has won a $26.7 million contract to support the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division’s Special Communications Mission Solutions Division.
The division supplies mobile communications equipment for military and government use and provides mobile communication ability for military missions and in cases where communication systems are damaged or compromised, according to its website.
The contract will help implement telecommunication and related communications-electronics systems to enable information exchange of voice, video and data, the Defense Department said in a release.
Services under the contract will include engineering, design, analysis, development, prototyping, modification, integration, verification, installation, training, testing, evaluation, logistics and hardware tracking support of telecommunication and related C-E systems.
Work will be performed in Hollywood, Md., St. Inigoes, Md., San Diego, Calif., and Boeblingen, Germany, and is expected to be completed in January 2018.
