Polaris Alpha acquires Intelesys, adds cyber, SIGINT depth

Polaris Alpha has boosted its cyber and signals intelligence capabilities by acquiring Intelesys.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Since its founding in 2004, Intelesys has played a role in the intelligence community’s mission critical cyber operations.

The company has expertise in software engineering, embedded development, network engineering and analysis, reverse engineering and malware analysis, Polaris Alpha said in a release.

Intelesys founders and executives Geoffrey Bloom and John Szakmeister will be part of the executive management team of Polaris, with each taking on a senior vice president role within Polaris Alpha’s Cyber and SIGINT Business Unit.

Polaris Alpha was created in November 2016 as a result of Arlington Capital Partners merging three companies into one. Just yesterday, the company won a $48 million research and development contract with the Naval Research Lab.

SC&H Capital served as advisor to Intelesys on the deal.
