GSA extends on-ramp deadline for OASIS small business

Find opportunities — and win them.

GSA has extended the deadline for the Pool 2 of the OASIS small business contract.

The General Services Administration this week extended the deadline for the OASIS small business contract as it tries to get more small businesses onto the vehicle.

The new deadline is Jan. 26; it had been Jan. 10.

The on ramp only applies to Pool 2 of the contract. GSA only made nine awards when the contract was first awarded in 2014 and hopes to have as many as 40.

The extension also expanded the number of NAICS codes and Product and Service Codes under which bidders can earn points for their evaluation.

These include professional services such as engineering, geophysical surveying, testing, administrative management, accounting, marketing, public relations, environmental consulting and research and development in areas such as biotech, social sciences, and life sciences.

The expansion likely was to make it easier for bidders to earn enough points to qualify for the contract.

OASIS has been a ground-breaker of sorts for its solicitation and evaluation process which requires bidders to score themselves.

The longer list of codes could also increase the number of bidders.
