Employee-owned company nabs $10.5M technical services contract

DCS Corp., of Alexandria, Va., has won a $10.5 million contract to provide technical services to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division.

The one-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract supports the Aircraft Division’s Air Vehicle Test and Evaluation Division, which provides source data and air vehicle modifications necessary to support the NAVAIR test and evaluation community, NAVAIR said on its website.

DCS Corp. is an employee-owned company that provides a wide variety of services including electronic warfare, cybersecurity, systems engineering, software engineering, modeling and simulation, unmanned systems and signature analysis.

Under the contract, the company will provide test engineering, test support, ground and flight test conduct, test and evaluation analysis and division administration support. 

According to Deltek, the contract was a small business set-aside contract that had an RFP released in May 2016. ManTech International was the incumbent. Their contract expired in May 2016, right around when the RFP was released.

Work is expected to wrap up in February 2018.

Four companies bid on this contract, according to the Defense Department.
