Deloitte taps former OMB official as chief strategy officer for civilian sector

Deloitte has appointed Dave Mader to the position of chief strategy officer for the company’s civilian sector.

Deloitte said in a release that its civilian sector works with more than 22 civilian agencies.

In his new role, Mader will shape and drive strategy and focus on helping agencies with their complex business challenges, especially those that require cross-agency collaboration, the company said. He will also oversee Deloitte’s expansion of its shared services offerings and enterprise risk management work.

Mader joins Deloitte from the Office of Management and Budget, where he served as controller. In that position, he designed and led the first government-wide initiative to create a new mission support function shared services strategy.

He has also served at the Internal Revenue Service.
