ANSER acquires fellow government R&D firm

Analytic Services Inc. has acquired Advanced Technology International, another not-for-profit company focused on research and development programs for the federal government.

Two not-for-profit federal research and development companies are joining forces.

Analytic Services Inc., commonly known as ANSER, has acquired Advanced Technology International, another not-for-profit company that organizes and manages research and development programs for the federal government.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ANSER is a public service research institute that is organized as a not-for-profit corporation. It works with the federal government on research project involving counterterrorism, mission assurance, and global threats, for exxample.

The acquisition combines ANSER's government problem-solving heritage with ATI's technical expertise to better serve its customers, the company said.

The company picks up 165 employees through the acquisition, increasing its headcount to 515. Revenue will also grow to $500 million annually. ATI will continue to operate from its South Carolina location.

Holland & Knight represented ANSER on this acquisition, the company said.
