Tenable taps Amit Yoran as new chairman, CEO

Tenable Network Security has appointed Amit Yoran to the position of company chairman and chief executive officer, effective Jan. 3, 2017.

He joins the company from RSA, where he served as president and was responsible for the company’s strategic vision and direction. He joined RSA through its acquisition of NetWitness, a networks forensics company that Yoran founded.

Before NetWitness, Yoran was a founding director of the U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team within the Homeland Security Department. He also founded Riptech, a managed security service provider that was acquired by Symantec in 2002.
