Technica Corp. has won an $8 million task order to provide the Air Force with operations and security sustainment services.

Technica Corp. has won an $8 million task order to provide the Air Force with operations and security sustainment services.

The task order was awarded under the Air Force’s NetCents 2 small business contract vehicle, which the agency extended earlier this week.

Under the contract, Technica Corp. will provide technology services to manage and sustain current operations, and to evolve the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise into a secure, robust, and regionalized network, the Defense Department said in a release.

The partnership with the selected company also provides Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise the ability to meet full operational capability on schedule, optimize project management of information technology requirements, and to mature the Air Force Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System Enterprise, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work is expected to be completed in January 2018.

Six companies bid on this contract, the Defense Department said.
