Parsons appoints new president of federal business
Parsons has appointed Carey Smith, former Honeywell exec, to the position of president of the company’s federal business unit.

In her new role, Smith will serve a number of government agencies in the defense, environmental, infrastructure, security and intelligence services markets.
Smith joins the company from Honeywell, where she served as president of the company’s defense and space business unit. Before Honeywell, she held a number of positions at Lockheed Martin and started her career with IBM Federal.
The company said in a release that Smith’s appointment makes her the highest-ranking female business unit executive in Parsons.
Thomas Roell, who served as interim president of the federal business unit will resume his role as vice chairman and chief risk advisor.
