Deloitte gets second shot at CIA work

Find opportunities — and win them.

Deloitte is still in the running for a pair of CIA task orders to provide the spy agency with a variety of consulting and modernization services.

Deloitte Consulting is getting a second shot at a pair of CIA task orders to provide the spy agency with business modernization and other services.

The two task orders are for what is described as “globalization and modernization group outreach” and were awarded under the ACCESS III multiple award contract. Deloitte filed its protests with GAO after KPMG won the work. Deloitte is the incumbent.

One task order is worth $11.4 million and is for engagement support and business modernization. The second task order also is worth $11.4 million and is for training and certification, engagement support and business modernization.

Deloitte claimed that it should have won the task order instead of KPMG.

Apparently something in their protest triggered second thoughts at the CIA because the agency has agreed to take a corrective action to cancel the awards to KPMG, revise the solicitation and essential start over.

But just because the CIA is taking a second look, that doesn’t mean that Deloitte will ultimately win the task orders.
