The Naval Research Laboratory is opting to use the Stars II governmentwide contract to buy cybersecurity services from 8(a) companies, according to FCW.
In June, the lab sought information from companies about cybersecurity services but at that point had not specified which vehicle it planned on using.
The contract was born out of a need to perform cybersecurity assessments and certifications. The contract will provide those services, which will help the lab as new systems and threats develop, FCW said.
