Lockheed scores $16.2M contract to develop combat management system

Lockheed Martin has won a $16.2 million contract to provide the Air Force with software, hardware and reports as part of a new combat management system.

Under the contract, the company will provide development of an integrated Distributed Battle Management capability to manage air-to-air and air-to-ground combat.

Work will be performed at Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 21, 2018.

Two companies bid on this contract, according to the Defense Department.
