Government, industry partnership crucial to national cybersecurity

Speaking at the Incident Response Forum on March 31, deputy treasury secretary Sarah Bloom Raskin lauded the Obama administration’s national cyber incident coordination policy, according to FCW.

"Once adopted, such a coordination policy will enable government agencies and the private sector to better understand what to anticipate from each other and one another," Raskin was quoted as saying.

Imagining a ransomware attack that could be catastrophic to American banks, Raskin said that coordination between government and industry will be crucial to keeping the economy from falling apart, FCW reported.
