IBM Corp. has won a $10.2 million option to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Power Efficiency Revolution For Embedded Computing Technologies program.

IBM Corp. has won a $10.2 million option to support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Power Efficiency Revolution For Embedded Computing Technologies program.

DARPA’s PERFECT program seeks revolutionary approaches and researches and develops the technologies and techniques that will provide the power efficiency required to enable embedded computing systems, DARPA said on its website.

The option brings the total cumulative value of the contract to $17 million.

Work will be performed in Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Cambridge, Mass., Charlottesville, Va., and Stanford, Calif., and is expected to be completed March 2018.
